Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. It is a small developing island. The capital is the Valley. The estimated GDP of Anguilla in 2001 was $104 million. The primary exports of Anguilla are lobster, fish, livestock, salt, concrete blocks and rum. The predominant export partners of Anguilla are the United Kingdom, the United States, Puerto Rico, and St. Martin. The primary import products of Anguilla are fuels, foods, chemicals, trucks, and textiles. The predominant import partners of Anguilla are the United States, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. As with Caribbean Islands, Anguilla is prone to hurricanes during hurricane season. Hurricane season traditionally runs between June through November. Although it is important to note that hurricanes can occur at anytime throughout the year.
